Abstract

The present report describes the Central Geographical Information System data model of the Argentine Geological Survey. Contextual elements, technics and data model of the digital geological map are described, as well as the methods for digital translation of geological data into GIS. This technology is described as an useful tool for the National Geological Map Program.
